Mission Statement: Creating community and business prosperity through education, advocacy and well-planned development

  • Economic Development

  • St. Cloud Florida is authentic, engaging and innovative.  Strategically located in Florida’s High-Tech Corridor and adjacent to Florida’s Turnpike, this vibrant central Florida community is poised for enhanced economic development in 2016 and beyond.

“Medical City”, home to UCF Medical College, Nemours Children’s Hospital, the VA Medical Center and Sanford Burnham Prebys Institute, is catalyzing economic growth in St. Cloud. The St. Cloud Regional Medical Center and the St. Cloud Sports Complex also provide a dynamic industry cluster that is evolving into a premier Health and Wellness destination. In partnership with the Technical Education Center of Osceola “TECO”, St. Cloud provides a learning campus facility offering a medical arts curriculum adjacent to the St. Cloud Regional Medical Center.

St. Cloud is also poised to benefit from its relationship with and proximity to the International Consortium for Advanced Manufacturing Research Center “ICMAR”.  Currently under construction, the ICMAR facility is the only advanced materials manufacturing development center focused on the integration of semi-conductor based processes and materials into future products like smart sensors and photonics devices.  Together, the ICAMR and its partners are helping shape our connected future.

With the goal to grow a strong business climate in historic downtown, the St. Cloud Community Redevelopment Agency “CRA” recently completed an award winning brick street revitalization project. In addition to brick street revitalization, the CRA will fund a planned expansion of Centennial Park. Located in the heart of historic downtown St. Cloud, expansion of Centennial Park will provide a community pavilion and “splash pad“ that promote active and engaging events, and will serve as a magnet for downtown businesses.

With a growing economy, excellent recreational facilities and services, attractive home values and characteristic small town life, St. Cloud is the place to live and work.
